AP CM Sandinti Jagan Mohan Reddy said that there is a need to strengthen infrastructure through healthy investments. He opined that due to this there will be a chance for the economic system to progress. YS Jagan spoke at the 8th conference of NITI Aayog held in Delhi. It is suggested that the cost of logistics in India is high and efforts should be made to reduce it. The CM said that 14 percent of the GDP is being spent on this. He said that this has become an obstacle for Indian products to compete at the global level.
In America, the cost of logistics has been limited to only 7.5 percent. Jagan Reddy said that in the last nine years, the government has been spending admirably on transport corridors and national highways. This must be continued to achieve the desired results. The CM made it clear that the AP government is giving the utmost priority to port-based development. He said that 4 new ports and 10 shipping harbors are being established in the state.
He said that the airport has been developed at Orvakallu in Kurnool. He said that an international airport is also being constructed in Visakhapatnam under the PPP method. Jagan Reddy said that the goal of Vikasit Bharat will be achieved only when the share of the manufacturing and services sector in the country’s GDP exceeds 85 percent. Promoting new technology is essential to increase agricultural productivity. AP has been number one in the country for the last three years in ease of doing business, said the CM.
