The recently established Congress government in Karnataka has kept its promise. On the occasion of the elections, the party announced 5 promises. Actions have been taken to implement the promises given to this extent. They announced that if they come to power, they will allow women and girls to travel in RTC buses for free. It has been included as one of the five guarantees by the government.

CM Siddaramaiah made it clear that they are committed to fulfilling the free promise. Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Sivakumar(DK Shiva Kumar) launched the Shakti scheme to provide free travel in government buses to women and students across the state in a program held in Karnataka on Sunday.

On this occasion, the CM said that a step has been taken towards the empowerment of women. It has been announced that from today, women and students can travel in government buses for free by showing the necessary documents. Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said that we are implementing the Shakti Yojana as per the promise.

He said that the promises given will be implemented step by step and there is no need for any doubt. He asked them not to believe their words no matter what they say.
