As part of this, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) reviewed the monetary policy. To this extent, the RBI Governor disclosed the issues discussed in the review and the decisions taken.
He said that the repo rate announced in the past is being kept at 6.50 percent as always. At the same time, the SDF rate was 6.25 percent while the MASF rate was fixed at 6.75 percent. On the other hand, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das clarified that the key bank rate will remain unchanged at 6.75.
Meanwhile, as inflation increased, the RBI focused on controlling it more. To this extent, the repo rate was revised six times in 2022 last year. This has been seriously misunderstood by financial experts.
