The situation in Manipur is getting worse. Law and order are not coming under control anywhere. Former army officers from India expressed that when they look at that state, they are reminded of the crisis in Syria and Libya.

He said that 96 people have lost their lives in the clashes so far. There are 25 members of the Meti community and 63 members of the Kuki community. Apart from them, the whereabouts of 8 other victims are not known so far.

Some complained that they have been targeting places of prayer for some time now. It has been revealed that 17 temples have been destroyed and more than 221 churches have been burnt.

He said that 1,988 houses belonging to the Mati social class were destroyed in these clashes. He said that 1,425 Kuki houses were lost. More than 158 Meite-dominated villages have been completely damaged.
