Minister of IT and Municipal Administration KTR has given a visit to the Swachha Badi set up in Siddipet constituency of Telangana. The solid waste management training center appreciated the impressiveness of the household and community level composting models. They have till now Rs. KTR made it clear that such clean schools will be set up in 141 municipal societies of the entire state with 71 crores.
It is said that the main purpose of this Swachh Badi is to train the next generation to manage solid waste management in a better way. Minister KTR said that the center will be used as a practical training center for all SWM related activities, organic food growing and imparting knowledge .
The Minister revealed that Swachh Badi has been set up to encourage people to learn home composting and create awareness about sustainable waste management. It will be useful to teach children about the importance of waste management. Various home and community composting methods will be provided to the visitors through a live demo, he said.
