Congress Pradesh Congress Committee Chief and Deputy CM DK Sivakumar made it clear that they will implement the five guarantees given during the party’s election campaign. There is no doubt about this. They said that they will be bound by their word. He said that the poor need not pay electricity bills up to 200 units. After that, if you use more, you will have to pay the bills. He said that unemployment benefits will be given to the unemployed till they get jobs. DK Sivakumar made another important announcement on Twitter on Thursday.
DK Shivakumar said that we have announced that women, young women, and girls will be provided with the facility of free travel in express and ordinary buses except AC buses in the state and we will definitely implement it in this regard. He said that the free journey for women will start on June 11. The Deputy CM opined that this will remain a golden chapter in the history of the state of Karnataka.
Meanwhile, the Congress party won 135 seats out of 224 seats in the recently held Karnataka state elections. BJP is limited to 65 seats while GDS got only 19 seats. They won the remaining four seats as independent MLAs. All of them collectively supported the Congress party. This has increased to 139 seats.
