More than 2,413 newlyweds got married in just 12 hours. This is a record in the country and simultaneously registered in the Guinness Book of World Records. This interesting scene took place in Rajasthan. A mass wedding ceremony was held in Baran on 26th May with great pomp. Every single couple got married within six hours.
There are people from all walks of life in this mega event. There are mostly Hindu and Muslim couples. Created a world record. According to the Guinness World Record, 963 couples got married simultaneously in 24 hours in 2013. This record belongs to them. But that record was erased by Rajasthan couples from India. They created a new history with their name. The record of most marriages was broken.
This mass marriage program was conducted by Sri Mahaveer Goshala Kalyan Samsthan. The aim of the organization is to reach out and support the marginalized in the society. The intention is to bring depressed couples together. First, the bride and groom exchanged garlands. After that, they clapped.
This collective program was conducted in a purely scientific manner. Marriages were performed under the auspices of priests for Hindu couples and Quazis for Muslims. A certificate was handed over to the married couple. CM Ashok Gehlot and Minister Pramod Jain blessed the Bhaya couple.
