Indian External Affairs Minister Subramaniam Jai Shankar met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The two ministers met on the sidelines of the G7 summit being held in Hiroshima on Sunday. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tour in America was discussed.
US President Joseph Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will give a special dinner to Prime Minister Modi. Biden has already invited Modi. He also said that arrangements are being made for his arrival. It is remarkable that Biden himself told the same thing to the PM.
On this occasion, Antony Blinken said that they are eagerly waiting for Modi’s visit. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi will leave for an official visit to the US on June 22. On the occasion of his visit, the Ministry of External Affairs will attend a dinner at the White House.
Biden and Jill Biden will be invited. The US said the tour underscores the growing importance of the strategic partnership between India and the US. Both countries already have a mutual understanding.
