MPs protest against violence in Manipur

MPs under the leadership of the opposition alliance India have taken up a protest demanding an unconditional apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the violence and riots that took place in Manipur. A protest was held in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi erected on the premises of Parliament House in Delhi. MPs from various parties raised slogans against the central government on a large scale.

The Chairman of the Rajya Sabha took a serious look at Aam Aadmi Party’s UP MP Sanjay Singh who demanded an answer. Fellow MPs expressed their anger on a large scale.

Problems said that democracy has disappeared in the country and the country is in a kind of darkness. He asked why the Bharatiya Janata Party government, which is in power at the center and in the state, is not responding to Manipur riots. The MPs clarified that Narendra Modi should be fully responsible for the violence in Manipur. MP Sanjay Singh alleged that in this country they are inciting hatred in the name of caste, religion, region, and race and are engaging in vote politics.
