Experiment from Sriharikota

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has crossed another milestone. Another rocket was successfully launched. The GSL V-F12 test was successful. A navigation satellite was successfully launched into space from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Srihari Kota on Monday.

The GSLV-F12 spacecraft flew by the asteroid NVCS-01 at 10.42 am. India’s navigation system was further improved through this experiment. Meanwhile, ISRO Chairman Somnath revealed that four satellites sent for navigation services in the past have reached the end of their life, and in their place, one satellite (rocket) is being sent into orbit every six months.

Meanwhile, the GSLV-F12 rocket is 51.7 meters long and weighs 420 tons. NVS-01 is the first of India’s second-generation navigation satellites. The satellite will provide real-time positioning services within a radius of about 1500 km around the Indian mainland.
