Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah has reached Bangalore in Karnataka. On this occasion, he had a special meeting with Deputy CM DK Shivakumar. The Congress party under the leadership of DK Shivakumar registered a resounding victory in the recently held assembly elections. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has given the Bommai government an irreversible shock.
It was the only party with 135 seats out of 224 seats. It formed the government on its own without relying on any party. As per the decision of the party high command, Siddaramaiah as the CM and DK Shivakumar as the Deputy Chief Minister along with a 24-member cabinet has been finalized.
Prominent political leaders, party heads, and CMs of the country did not attend the swearing-in ceremony held at the Kannada Kanthirava Stadium. CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar were specially invited on behalf of the Karnataka Congress Party. Meanwhile, due to unavoidable reasons, former CM Farooq Abdullah could not attend.
Today he reached Bangalore especially. DK Sivakumar extended a warm welcome to Abdullah on this occasion. DKS was honored with a shawl. After that, the two leaders discussed the political consequences for more than an hour. At present, Congress will form a common platform with other parties.
