CM YS Jagan met Nirmala Sitharaman

AP CM Sandinti Jagan Mohan Reddy who is on the Delhi tour is busy. He will participate in the 8th NITI Aayog meeting to be held today. As part of this, the AP CM met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The meeting between the two took place for more than 40 minutes. The CM specifically mentioned many important issues related to the state with the Union Minister. On this occasion, Jagan Reddy thanked the Center for helping AP.

The AP CM discussed with the Finance Minister the issue of resource gap funding for 2014-2015, the consequences of the state government’s borrowing beyond the limit during 2016-2019, and relaxations in the borrowing limit in 2021-22.

In respect of electricity supplied by AP Gen Co to Telangana discoms after the bifurcation of the state Rs. 6,756.92 crores of arrears was mentioned. They asked to give it immediately. Otherwise, they will have to face serious problems. In this regard, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman assured that they will talk to the state and make it available. The AP CM said that the state has spent heavily on education and health.
