The Aam Aadmi Party is holding a massive rally in the national capital on Sunday protesting the ordinance brought against the Delhi government by the Modi-BJP coalition government at the central. In this regard, AAP convener and CM Arvind Kejriwal came under fire from the central government. In the Supreme Court, both the Central and the Delhi governments have heard large-scale arguments about who has all the powers. After hearing the arguments of both parties, the judgment was passed by the bench headed by CJI Chandrachud.
To this extent, it has made it clear that the government elected by the people will have powers. It has made it clear that the lieutenant governor who is handling the responsibilities of the center has no more powers except peace and security and land-related matters. To this extent, the AAP government has taken decisions following the judgment issued by the court.
Contrary to this, the ordinance was brought under the leadership of Amit Shah. The decision was taken by cutting the powers. For this to become a law, a bill has to be passed in Parliament. While the Bharatiya Janata Party and its affiliated parties have strength in the Lok Sabha, the expected number is not there in the Rajya Sabha. With this, CM Kejriwal met the chiefs and CMs of the opposition parties. A huge rally was held today against the ordinance.
